Major Donor Wall
The Peninsula Education Foundation is proud to announce an exciting new opportunity for Major Donors, which will be unveiled this summer at the Avenue of the Peninsula in a partnership with Stoltz Management Company. For the first time, we will have a Donor Recognition Wall right in the heart of the Peninsula, where our community can see the support of PEF Major Donors at the $2,000 level and above.

The wall will be updated annually, and will showcase the prior year’s donors. The wall will be unveiled with donors from the 2006-2007 school year. The donor panels will be replaced annually each summer with the previous year’s donors. Therefore, 2007-2008 school year donors will be premiered in August 2008.

This is an opportunity for friends and businesses to show their support of the
Foundation and for donors to be recognized in a high traffic area.

What is a Major Donor?
A Major Donor is anyone giving a cash donation of one thousand dollars a year, or more, to the Peninsula Education Foundation.  PEF makes giving really easy.  The money may be given in monthly installments, checks, cash, or even on credit cards – which give you the option of getting those mileage points!

What are the benefits of being a Major Donor?
Many would say that the rising tide of Major Donors is due to the fantastic social engagements that are a free to all major donors.  They are great gatherings that take place in fabulous private homes throughout the Peninsula, and many business locations too.  The last event was held at Trump National Golf Club with 13 different South Bay restaurants donating great food and serving help (to the PEF faithful this is known as the “Autumn Harvest” party, or a thank you to all who have donated.)

Other perks of being a Major Donor include a complimentary half page ad for you or your business in the Main Event Auction Catalog, and a full page ad for donations over $10,000.  There is a special private reception prior to the Main Event, as well as other recognition at the Main Event.  Donors of $25,000 or more receive a complimentary table for ten at the Main Event. 
There is also a fabulous end-of-year party at a local home on the Peninsula for all Major Donors.  Light supper, drinks, and awards are included.

What a fantastic community we live in.  Collectively we’ve stepped up to the challenge of raising 1.5 MILLION dollars for the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District!  It seemed like such a daunting challenge last year when the PEF Board of Trustees voted to raise the pledge because of the District’s dire need of the funds.  But the Board agreed that the extra effort it would take would be well worth it.
